Art Is...Maskmaking with Paper

( 19:43 )

Teacher Peggy Flores demonstrates the art of making dimensional paper masks from construction paper in this lively program. After folding a sheet of paper in half, she forms a basic face, then adds a nose, colorful eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and hair using scraps of paper she cuts, curls, twists, bends, and shapes. Students will be inspired to use their imagination to make their own creative masks. Complete materials and techniques are shown. Maskmaking with Foil and Maskmaking with Clay are also available and complement this program.
